Finally Some News!

Tribune Chronicle Story on Port

We have finally received some much needed news from the Port in the apparent Port Meeting for January yesterday. They have given Exal Corp. of Youngstown 3 Million Dollars to expand in cooperation with the Summit County Port. In other news we got word of the first 3 chapters of the Airports New Master Plan that could be done by late summer. In it, it states that over the next 20 years the airport should move its general aviation and corporate facilities (Winner and ReadyAir) to the South Side of the airport for expansion of the current terminal. That is good news; but still no news on airlines and truly there is no point to expand the terminal without any airlines.

Tomorrow we hope to do a story on the impact of an airline like Allegiant Air and what it could for YNG.
