Ready Air-Joke

That FBO should be shut down immediately. I just called their offices and they said no new business has moved into their hangar. In the Vindicator it said they had to move much of their stuff to another hangar because a new business was setting up operations. Flat Out LIE.

We should force them off the Airport Property immediately. They have caused much more trouble than this. Lie after Lie. Steve they are now sueing the port, how much more can you take. Force them to seize operations now and sue them for not paying you.

Winner does just fine operating in the terminal and operating the charters.

ReadyAir to sue Airport

One of the 2 FBO’S at YNG, ReadyAir, is sueing the aiport for a number of reasons. Let’s not even talk about it, but in the Vindicator article it had some interesting news just in general for the airport. Today a new business, not announced to the public-GO FIGURE-was scheduled to set up shop at the ReadyAir Hangar. Bowser said any business opening up there is positive but the article goes on to say it isn’t an airline type operation, no surprise either!

If anyone find out what it may be please comment on this and your thoughts on ReadyAir and for their “whimp” like behavior with the airport.

Spokesperson for the FlyYNG Coalition?

I know we get over 20-30 new people per day read this site and over 100 per day who have read it the day prior; we want to expand our efforts. As a web based coalition we really are strapped reaching out to the community.

This may be a big question to ask but would anyone be interested in becoming the spokesman of the FlyYNG Coalition. You would really not have to do anything on air, TV Wise, but we would like to contact the airport with weekly reports on the progress and reach out to the print media such as the Business Journal, Vindy, Trib.

If anyone who reads this site everyday and would consider volunteering for the job please contact our email. In the subject line: Spokesman. Tell us about yourself and we should name someone by the end of next week.

The job won’t have much work other than a few phone calls here or a fax there.

Are We Ever Going to Hear any News?

Week by week no news comes outta the airport but when some does its only for the Air Base or a Flight School. Is the airport really close to bringing in 2 carriers like 2 of the officials up there have told me? If so if they are trying to get April Starting Dates, you’d figure now be the time to announce service…. They have the same excuse saying will let the airline announce it, well for 4 months I have heard that and every time they’d say they were closer and closer to service..

If someone up there can email us… We’d appreciate it.

How about Air Cargo?

Let’s just say this, we have been hearing rumors for months, about an airline coming to our airport. Let’s now say this, they are only rumors, like everything else that seems to be coming to our airport. Let’s try a different approach, just for now. How about air cargo? Air cargo fills many airports, so why not ours? Our airport has an abundant amount of space and facilities at the airport. To find out about the Youngstown Warren Regional Airport’s Cargo information log onto here” http://www.yngwrnair.com/cargo.html

New Feature

Last Night I saw a few sites/airports with plasma tv’s for flight info so how about them for Youngstown!? No not the airport but this blog and our website. Here is a preview of what you can expect:

Let’s hope when YNG gets an airline I can set these up for all to use until the old YNGAIRPORT.COM get’s done… Still no answers to that!

737 out of Y-town

Despite what people might think, commercial airliners do still fly out of Warren/Youngstown regional airport. Casinos charter flight’s to Atlantic City often, out of our lonely airport. At 2:58 P.M. today a Boeing 737 departed form our airport, and arrived at Atlantic City International at 3:53 eastern. The flight took less than an hour, and would be a great and cheap getaway. I would love to see 737’s flying out of Youngstown daily, instead of a twice a month event!

Board Meeting Minutes

If the airport management or port board reads this site daily and you have access to the board minutes please send them to the FlyYNG Coalition: ohiostadiums@gmail.com

Off of that as a coalition we want to get some questions in at the meetings.

1) Will Free Parking be available to the next carrier?

2) What is the status of an airport management comapany such as TBI of London or the one in San Jose, CA?

3) Are there any other businesses related to the airport to set up operations? Restaurant? School? Offices for Business?
