Target Service for the Airport
In our Airline for the Airport Plan 2006 last week we had only 3 carriers; but we could’ve added a 4th or 5th and we would like to shed our beliefs on one of them.
The airport has been said to say Washington DC is a target for service demand wise for the region; we agree. With the seizing of Independence Air Operations, any low fare service or nonstop service for that matter to DC is harder through PIT and CLE. That is why YNG should target nonstop service there aboard UNITED AIRLINES.
United Airlines HUB’S its Northeast US Operations at Washington Dulles (IAD) and if YNG could target 3 daily flights to IAD; then YNG is tied into the National System of Flights for United nationwide. It would be a win-win situation for the airport if we could get a legacy carrier to come into YNG and fly daily flights.
THE OPINIONS EXPRESSED ARE THOSE OF THE FLYYNG COALITION FOR THE YOUNGSTOWN-WARREN REGIONAL AIRPORT. The Coalition in no way, shape, or form is associated with the management of the YOUNGSTOWN-WARREN REGIONAL AIRPORT.

The Time is NOW!
2006 marks a new year, let’s throw everything out form the previous year. The Mahoning Valley thought they were getting an air line to fill our vacant air port in the old 2005 year. WRONG, that plane was scrubbed, before it even got off the ground (no pun attended). This 2006 year should mark a new beginning for Warren/Youngstown air port, and an announcement of a new airline should not wait any longer. With the new year beginning, this should mark the time for a new air line, because the time is truly NOW!!
YNGAIR Website?
Back in September new Port Chair Maxin and the Board voted to re-instate airport marketing and $7,000 would go to Vic Rubenstein to make new videos, brochures, and a NEW WEBSITE. He was quoted saying the new materials should be available in 30 to 45 days. The website is still the original website from the year 2000 and needs to be updated!
Vic please tell us when the website will be done? It takes me 3-5 days to create a website; how long could it possibly take to make a website for the airport?

Happy New Years!
Happy 2006 To All!
This is an important year for YNG. We have set some goals for the airport and we can hope they work.
Plan
Two Airlines Come and stay the whole year at YNG. The flights do well and expansion is being considered.
The Port considers the Airport Management Companies but it all depends on the success of the two carriers.
The airport schools grow. They do better than expected.
Add one more jetway.
We’d be more in-depth but we want to keep it simple for New Years and thanks to all who read this blog everyday!!!
