State of the Airport

We have the State of the Union Address, how about the State of the Airport Address. I won’t make it a speech but rather a list of goals we must work with our local Politicians to accomplish.
- Establish some sort of airline service. We released our airline plan…>Right Panel>….at the beginning of the year and we beleive Allegiant Air is the start to help get this airport off the ground while the growth of nearby CAK Slows.
- Create a voting and agreement system among the Airport Manangement, the Port, the FlyYNG Coalition, and local politicians to show our complete support or disapproval of a certain issue pertaining to the airport and its future.
- Work with Congressman Tim Ryan (D) and the Mahoning-Trumbull County Commissioners to establish a market niche for the airport and for it to become more well established in the region. We must let others know in Cleveland-Akron-Canton-Pittsburgh-and other areas that we have an airport and we MAY have nonstop passenger service to popular vacation destinations.
- If the airport shows signs of improvement, with the new Master Plan, establish a committee to study the feasability of an airport terminal expansion to a 2nd level and an addition in jetways-gates and restaurant-shopping space.

Still no response from Vic Rubenstein. Also of note. If Allegiant begins service near Easter, they should announce it within any week now. Today they announced service from a city in Texas to begin April 5, which is about 2.5 weeks before Easter. So if guessing works, within any week we shall hear of Allegiant to YNG.
