Allegiant Booking Up, Open House

I never did make it out to Vienna, OH for the open house but from what I saw they had a great crowd in the terminal. Let’s hope the area and region use the 4 schools/training facilities at YNG.

Secondly I have tracked the YNG bookings for Allegiant and so far 7 flights in and out of YNG have sold at least 20 tickets and fares for those flights are $89-$109 dollars. Its strategic on Allegiant’s part to raise the ticket price after a set # of tickets like most airlines do, in many cases the flight on that Monday or coming home on a Friday will still be at $59.

T-Minus: 11 Days until all Flight’s Fares Rise to $89 One Way. Buy your tickets NOW!

Airport Open House Saturday

An Aviation Day is scheduled for this Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the airport in Vienna. Representatives from four flight schools will be there to talk about careers in aviation.

If any of you guys can go up there and I may be up there and we can making have a little meeting with some people at the airport, get some interviews, and finally get the much needed airport tour we have been waiting for.

Email cjohnson@yngairport.com for information; if not him post a comment here and I will get info before Saturday.

Hope to see you there!

New Flight School to the Airport

Okay on January 1, 2006 I did the Recap of the year and how the marketing was going; as of then we had only 2 Add-Ons.. They were flight schools, let’s add on some more.

Looks like the WRPA Took Note.

Here is the info on it.

Like our friends at ORH, we are going to email all the Airport Staff and request info on all the PORT Meetings and expect all Minutes to be available on the new website or sent to us.

Why Allegiant? Why Youngstown?

TAKE OUR FlyYNG SURVEY HERE!

First Off I want to say to those in ORH that we already have commercials flying around as well as print ad’s for Allegiant Air. So in case you were wondering we definately got some marketing in full swing.

Back to topic.
Why Fly Allegiant?

Best Reason Is This: The TSA and most airports tell you to arrive 90 minutes to 2 hours before your flight, well you can at YNG, but you can still make your flight if you arrive 15 minutes before it leaves the gate. You can’t beat that.

What else can you think of.. Post a comment here and to all haters, do not post because you will be banned from this blog.

Fly Youngstown Webpage Updated

We completely updated the entire Fly Youngstown webpage. It now includes the flight schedule and new terminal diagram.

Please check it when you can.

It will soon include interactive tools for booking flights.. Check back soon.

Allegiant Is Selling to the Valley

So far Allegiant Air’s initial days here after announcing YNG have been a “banner opening” for the carrier. As of Friday Afternoon some 170 tickets had been sold and that number is probably near 300 by Sunday, today, at 3:00 PM. The response from the Valley is great, but for Allegiant and YNG to be a success we MUST ALL Support it. I mean we aren’t telling you to go to Orlando, but if your definately thinking about it, do so now on the Valley’s Airline.

One of AllegiantAir.com’s best features is to show the plane diagram with seats sold and unsold. Here is it for the first flight. https://www.allegiantair.com/res/rsseatpopup.php?key=63684&ckey=

So Far Around 20-25 have been sold for that!

Let’s Make This Happen

Well, I feel like having a banner saying Mission Accomplished. However, our work is not finished. We need to still let the airlines know that we want another one too, and more destinations. The way to do that is by continually coming to this web site, and supporting the new airline at KYNG. We, the people of the Mahoning Valley now have options to spend time away from this area on vacations. With flights to Atlantic City and now Florida, for very great prices.

Allegiant Tix Are Selling!

WYTV Article

So far tickets are selling which is a major positive! About 200 tickets sold withing 35 hours; at this pace we can hit around 1,000 within 1 week! Let’s hope the tickets sales continue and Allegiant Succeeds!

We are hoping to get an interview with Vic Rubenstein about the new service and what we can expect in the future.

We MUST Make this Work!

Folks. Allegiant Air is here. After 10 months of telling you rumors they were coming, THEY HAVE CAME. We can’t let them leave. Buy tickets now before the $59 dollar deadline ends! We must sell out flights so more flights can be added. We need to make this work so people have faith in buying a ticket at YNG and so more carriers can come.

If you do plan on buying a ticket on Allegiant Air out of YNG, post a comment here and tell why you would choose it over AirTran in CAK or the CLE and PIT Airlines.

And a note to all….. Buy Tickets Now!
