Mad Tax Payer
Is anyone out there tired of these company’s ripping our airport off? Taking our tax dollars and ruining our airport here in the Mahoning Valley. Ready Air is the most recent one to try and attack our airport, but Vacation Express did so too, not too long ago. The Vacation Express operation cost us Tax Payers $400,000. $400,000 for an airline that was here for 5 months! It’s not like we didn’t support their airline. We had capacity of 80% to SFB, and 70% to Myrtle Beach. And to think they wanted an addition $250,000 just to fly a few flights in the winter!
The fact is clear, VACATION’S EXPRESS RIPPED US OFF!! We, the coalition for our airport, won’t stand for it. The greedy people at Vacation Express think a lawsuit can get that $250,000 from the airport; but that won’t happen, the money we spent on them will come back to the port. Let this be known, if you have family members in the Vacation Express city’s, tell them not to fly the corrupt airline which ripped us taxpayers off. This message goes out to Vacation Express, us smart citirzens that supported your airline for 5 months see through your scam. You are no longer welcomed at our airport, or within the Northeast Ohio regions, give us Tax payers back our money!!! Ready Air, you haven’t even heard the end of it from us! You must be evicted immediately for constant lying. Mr. Quinn; can you explain to us where this new business is at the airport?

ReadyAir has nothing to do with your taxes or mine. The Port Authority gets your tax money. ReadyAir is a fixed base operator, meaning that when aircraft owners or corporationsdecide to come to YNG, they can buy fuel and services from them. The Port Authority has thrown OUR tax money down the drain time and time again, long before ReadyAir was in YNG. If left unchecked, the Port Authority will continue to do so for many years to come. When you operate a business, all you can ask for is for your landlord to obey the law. The Port Authority has not followed the law in the past and they continue to break the law now. The Port Authority board refuses to follow the guidelines and regulations set up by the federal government on how to operate a public airport. When they need money for improvements or to pay old bills the first thing they do is put their hands out to the federal government and state government for YOUR tax dollars. In return they ( The Board) feels they are above the law and federal regulations do not apply to them. ReadyAir was established at YNG to give private, corporate andcommercial air traffic to YNG a choice about where they can receive services. The Port Authority and Winner have gone out of their way to try and take that choice away. This is not about rent for the Port Authority Board. It is about the “old boys club” getting rid of someone who wasn’t afraid to stand up to them and say enough is enough.
