Other than that, not too much to talk about. The website should be done within the upcoming days, from what we are told, but we shall see about that. Post you’re thoughts on the port’s meeting and any ideas for the February agenda, which we plan on sending to Atty. J.J. Masternick.

Why hasn’t anyone asked at these port meetings as to what happened to the airline that was “soon” and “close” to making an anouncement about coming to the “virtual airport”?????

Yeah, what about that? What do the sublimal messages that were posted on a different message mean? Is anything close to happening or not? I feel like I’m asking my buddies if they know if the girl that sits next to me in my class is going to go out with me or not. What do your people think? When is this so called “virtual airport” going to become a “real airport” like Toledo or Akron/Canton? Hmmm???….

I guess my only question would be to ask how experienced these people are at airport operation? There seems to be a strong group of interested people in the community that are hungry to help in aquiring new airline service, expand what we already have, and work with the board in a positive direction. Together a lot can be accomplished.

From the Trib article……(Did anyone notice the last sentence here)……”fencing is needed to keep out birds”……. that’s right boys and girls, most birds can’t fly higher than 10 feet! Let’s throw almost 2 million dollars away over the next 2 years…….add that to the scrap heap of money already wasted on the cargo ramp. Where is the accountability for the decision making over there at the airport? Well, we can all read between the lines of the real meaning behind Steve Bower’s statement…..”keep out birds” or anything that Flys! Those pesky airline “birds” must be kept away at all costs! What a joke…..

“Regarding the fencing, Johnson reported to port authority members that the project to replace 7-foot fencing with 10-foot fencing is about one-third complete. Another third will be done with $900,000 in FAA money in 2007, and the remainder will probably be done in 2008 with about $900,000 more in FAA money, Johnson said.
The fencing is needed to keep out birds and other wildlife for the safety of aircraft, Bowser said.”

I know!!! This was hilarious………..More likely to keep FAA people from climbing over the fence again and embarrassing the airport again!!!!
