FlyYNG Poll: Results as of now

So far it looks like most people would like to see Las Vegas and Tampa be added to the list of destinations available out of YNG. No surprise from me, but its interesting that Allegiant isn’t pursuing additional flights from Youngstown with the 85%+ load factors and the recent media rumblings of additional flights since fuel costs are far lower than what they were this time last year.
I also want to say the November and December port authority minutes are up on the new airport website. Nothing to get excited about, just 3 pages total of default procedures. If I were the port, I’d be questioning Steve about airlines, Allegiant, and other air travel information; but for whatever reason they don’t.
PLEASE KEEP VOTING IN OUR POLL….. It’s to the right of this post!

I’d like to see Salt Lake City added! Thanks.
and West Palm Beach, Atlanta, and DC too….
I would be happy if YNG had a traditional airline or two or three like they did in the nineties and the early 2000s. Have you guys heard anything at all? Is anyone close to coming or not? Is Allegiant going to expand their service offerings or not? At the very worse, it would be nice to see Continental Express flights to Cleveland. Before you chuckle, Continental has tried that service no less then two times already and they’ve tried it twice to CAK too. I’m even happy to say that I used that service and appreciated it.
You guys want “air service”…. are you kidding me??? Don’t expect to see anything happen for atleast 2 years……we’ve got fences to build…don’t ya know
If I remember correctly, one of the reasons COA Express discontinued service at YNG was due to the lack of ramp space at CLE. COA express was expanding rapidly back then. I believe this was reported in the local papers at the time.
That sounds like the same excuse that the Akron Beacon Journal reported in 2000. They said that Continental Express left CAK because CLE had become too congested. The paper reported that they may return when the new runway was completed.
What it came down to is Continental Exp. left because it was simpler to consolidate its ops in NE ohio at Cleveland.
