The Time is NOW.

The time is now for this blog to take the lead in helping the YNG/WRPA bring in additional airlines or flights to this area. Earlier this evening, ChaseOH sent me back Steve Bowser’s reply to his email; and believe it or not, he did acknowledge Skybus! Bowser wrote, I am very excited about SkyBus’s potential.”

Now with that being said; Steve really didn’t answer Chase’s questions regarding how he could assist the airport to gain additional services. Well enough is enough. I am emailing Steve Bowser, Chuck Johnson, and the WRPA’s JJ Masternick, whom I will ask to forward to other members of the Port Authority. In my email, I am going to tell Steve and Chuck straight up that we need to put all of our differences aside for once, especially those differences which are a result of bragging about aviation knowledge and posting under fake names on this blog.

I am going to tell them that this blog plans on doing everything in our power to help the airport out in negotiations with airlines. How can we do that? Perhaps a survey, perhaps an email drive, or perhaps something that the airport would like us to do. I REFUSE TO TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!

Gary Airport and their supporters are tied together and work together in their talks with airlines. WE NEED TO BE THE SAME WAY! WE NEED TO ACT NOW AND GET SKYBUS TO YOUNGSTOWN! I may sound very optimistic in this post, but I truly believe this blog can make a difference in this community. We are a very unique site which covers something the media does not cover enough.

WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN, AND IF THEY SAY NO; WE WILL ACT ON OUR OWN.

Any word if the YNG Airport applied for the 2007 SCASD grant monies yet?

When I asked them a few weeks back they refused to tell me what they were applying for; but YES they did apply. The grant should be up on the internet tomorrow.

didn’t he say the same thing last year about applying and then all of a sudden he said that they did not apply because they had all these great projects on the horizon. So, I would not quite buy into that line of crap again. Also, where are all the other great projects?

I know that you want to be nice and proative, so does everyone else. Now, everyone is just getting fed up with nothing being done for so long. I think that if you look back at history, they are using the same excuses that they have used for years. Those same excuses will come out of their mouths again. Kind of a pattern.

Things are going on around YNG. Just not in YNG. Airlines are starting up and working from other airports. Not YNG. The major airlines that they were going to announce never happened. Allegiant has not added service. Vegas was too far…remember that one. Someone proved that wrong.

I hope that these guys do apply for the SCASD money this year. I wrote on the blog about that last year. But maybe they will have another special top secret project that needs funded, one that will help attract more business and more airlines to the airport. I guess only time will tell.
