YNG-SFB: $4 Fares on the 4th!

This is no joke, Allegiant Air is seriously having a $4 fare promotion for the 4th! Purchase your tickets now at www.ALLEGIANTAIR.COM!

Time For A TurboProp Route

After much thought coupled with the seeming endless airline fuel increases I think that YNG should go ahead and do what no other airport is striving for.  Specifically seeking a route that an airline at least might take a look at for its creative thought regarding fuel savings.

Acquiring a mainline jet route now I think we all can believe is probably not going to happen.  But what I would suggest fits under three possibilites:

1.  A TurboProp (fuel saving) flight to the hub of choice.

2.  A TurboProp flight from YNG (Point To Point) to a city of choice that wouldn’t be a hub.

3.  One of each of the above options.  This might be accomplished on just one aircraft.

Now this I realize is not very exciting however any passenger movement that takes into account current economic conditions has merit.  Plus if you look at what YNG has right now anything more would be an improvement and could start a change in passenger habits which I have stated before.

Let us hear from you regarding these options and/or at least what hub or destination you think would be the best in the current climate.  My choice would be YNG To IAD.

NBC says YNG will lose service, Allegiant Denies Claims

And in a Business Journal story today, Allegiant and YNG firmly denied the pathetic claims of NBC. This is the 2nd time in the last month that NBC has bs’ed a story; the first was a hatched editing job on President Bush. I urge you to boycott this network like I am. I watched this network my entire life until recently, when I finally realized their political agenda was not good for America. And now, after this lie that says YNG will lose service by years end, I’ve had it with this network. NBC, put the facts on your broadcasts, not facts you pull out of your ass!
