YNG Has a Big Chance to Get Daily Service Now

A former poster on here known as TS sent me a link this morning that talks about how the Pittsburgh Airport is looking at expanding commuter service in and out of the airport to boost traffic. He questioned why YNG was not mentioned in the article linked here: CLICK HERE.
Well I just spotted a news story over at WYTV that says the co-director of this committee is very interested in talking with the administration of the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport to talk about commuter service between YNG-PIT. CLICK HERE for ARTICLE.
Sure this may not seem attractive to us because its a 1 hour drive to KPIT, but imagine the gas savings of driving to YNG and having one stop in PIT before flying to a number of domestic destinations. Steve Bowser, here is your chance, get these flights!

“Sure this may not seem attractive”
This is definitely worth pursueing. Any additional air service is a start in the right direction. Bowser should go after this at full speed if for no other reason than to get people coming to the airport again. This opportunity must not slip through the airports fingers due to inaction.
Here another thing YNG should look at:
I agree that Great Lakes is nothing to write home about but when the airline economy sucks and you got nothing you reach for everything and hope you capture something to start building some momentum.

Bloomington Airport Gets Daily Nonstop Flight To Dallas
“The biggest factor in American Eagle adding another flight in Bloomington was community support”

We got the community support behind Allegiant Air that’s for sure. We just need it for the next carrier and/or destination from KYNG.
USA3000 just announced the end of flights to St. Pete/Clearwater Airport. I hope Allegiant can take advantage of this void and add a Youngstown-Clwr. flight. I go past the Clwr/St.Pete Airport once or twice a week and it’s nice and convenient.
Clwr you got that right. Note the poll I have on the right side of the page. I urge you to email or mail Allegiant Air, PIE, and YNG Airport’s to inform then you want this service. With enough public input, we can make this work!
